According to sources, the American Idol judge and singer finalised her breakup with husband Marc Anthony just hours before the BAFTA - Brits to Watch event where she met the Royal Couple, William and Kate.

New details are popping out since J.Lo announced the separation with her husband of 7 years, Latino singer Marc Anthony. According to a source, she broke the relationship just hours before the BAFTA event sponsored by the Royal couple as she was seen dressed up without her wedding ring in sight. In the official guest list of the event, J.Lo was supposed to take Marc Anthony, but decided to bring her mother Lupe instead. Both Jennifer and Lupe had a chance to chat with Prince William and Kate Middleton, with actress Mary Louise Parker claiming J.Lo "shoved her" out of the way so the singer can get first dibs on the Royal's attention.

The allegations of the break-up happening before the July 9 BAFTA event isn't a surprise to J.Lo and Marc Anthony's closest friends. Sources say the couple's relationship took a tool 4 years into the marriage, when Marc Anthony insisted to move to New York, away from the Los Angeles life Jennifer wants to have. "J-Lo's career is in Hollywood and she wanted to live in their Malibu mansion and Marc loved New York. She was going to move to New York in a last-ditch effort to save the marriage. But last Monday I heard it was all over" says a close friend of the couple in a report posted in the Daily Mail.

Aside from not deciding on where to live, Jennifer had other reasons behind the divorce. "They also clashed when she learned he owed millions in unpaid taxes on the Long Island estate" says a source in the same Daily Mail Post.
