Rumours are ripe that Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart are on the verge on split. A few months ago the couple had hit the rocky road but the new reports claim that since the rough patch the singer has been working to stay united with Casper.

"Now, all this stuff comes out about sexting. They're still together, technically, but no idea for how long," said the friend to People.

Lopez has been dating Smart since 2011. Smart was Lopez's back-up dancer before he turned into a choreographer. The reason for their break-up is understood to be a cheating scandal. Various reports claim Smart sent some Instagram photos and steamy messages to somebody else, which lead to problems between the couple.

"There were issues that pre-date these new reports," said another source about the break-up reports.

It is further reported that Lopez's mind is focused somewhere else and she has no time to focus on her romance rumours

"She has a really busy three weeks and doesn't have time to deal with this," the source told the Web site, adding, "And she's on the East Coast and he's working on the West Coast."

Lopez is apparently, trying to stay positive amidst all the break-up rumors reports. She is reported to be happy with how her new single "First Love" is topping the charts.

"She is excited about where her life is right now," a friend told the Web site, adding, "Her new single ("First Love") is on fire, and her album is about to drop, and she has movies, and hit TV shows (The Fosters) that she's producing. She couldn't be in better shape professionally. Personally, it's a bit more tricky."

Reps from both Lopez's and Smart's side have not confirmed anything about the split reports yet.
