Emma Swan takes her team of heroes and villains to the Underworld to find Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue). When OUAT 5 returns in March, viewers will see what happens next in Episode 12, “Souls of the Departed.”
Morrison impressed OUAT fans with her portrayal of the Dark Swan, the Dark One who was forced to turn Captain Hook into a fellow Dark One in order to save his life. Hook, eventually sacrificed his life to defeat all the other dark ones who invaded Storybrooke. In a complicated twist, Hook's sacrifice enabled Mr Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) to redeem the dagger and become the only living Dark One.
Morrison was tough, vulnerable and deeply conflicted as the Dark One. She succeeded in showing a very different Emma Swan, one who is willing to do whatever it takes to save everyone she loves. The Dark Swan may have some residual effect on Emma, as she realized that the dagger was still connected to her.
In “Once Upon A Time” Season 5, Episode 11, Emma confronts Mr Gold for taking advantage of Hook's sacrifice. Mr Gold agrees to accompany Emma to the Underworld after Emma used Belle in a threat. On their way to the Underworld, Emma utters a familiar line spoken by her parents (Prince Charming and Snow White) in several episodes: “I will find you.”
Blake Shelton will host the 2016 Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards on March 12. There are 22 categories, and "Once Upon A Time" landed on two of them. Will Jennifer Morrison win as the Favourite Female TV Star? She is competing with Ming-Na Wen and Chloe Bennet (both in ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), Sarah Hyland and Sofia Vergara (both in ABC's "Modern Family") and Kaley Cuoco (CBS-"The Big Bang Theory").
