Jenny McCarthy is engaged. The talk show host announced her engagement with beau Donnie Wahlberg on her today's episode of "The View." She showed off her huge yellow sapphire ring while getting a luxurious manicure done in the Sally Hansen Studio in New York. McCarthy was all smiles as she got her nails painted in pink. The ring given to McCarthy by Wahlberg has a square cut yellow gem surrounded by a boundary of diamonds.

So how did Wahlberg propose to McCarthy?

It is apparently the latter's son who helped plan Wahlberg a surprise proposal.

Regarding the proposal the 41-year-old talk show host said: "This weekend I was sitting with Donnie and he went into the other room and out came Evan with a card that said 'Will.' And he ran away and came back with a card that said 'You,' and I knew what was happening and I just started crying. And then he came out with a card that said 'Marry,' but it was spelled 'Mary,' and the last time Donnie came out with Evan and Evan's shirt said 'Me?' and he was holding the ring. He asked, 'Will you marry me?' I of course said yes. And in that moment, Evan yelled, 'I have another dad! I have another dad.' I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. He's so wonderful."

Before getting in a relationship with Wahlberg, McCarthy was engaged to actor Jim Carrey. The wedding is scheduled in August as per the reports.

Meanwhile, apart from her excitement of getting engaged to Donnie, Jenny is involved in the debate of not using vaccines, which she thinks may have caused her son's autism. However, she wrote in a column Chicago Sun Times claiming that she does not have a extreme view against the use of vaccines as portrayed by the media.
