Brit Boxer Jerome Wilson In Critical Condition After Brutal KO
Welterweight contender Jerome Wilson suffered a brutal head injury after a sixth round knockout loss to rival Serge Ambomo last Friday at the Ice Sheffield Arena in Yorkshire, United Kingdom. So brutal was the KO that Wilson needed an operation after the bout and was rushed to a nearby hospital after the match.
Nicknamed “Wipeout”, Wilson is reportedly still in critical condition and the road to recovery is expected to be long and hard for the 29-year-old British boxer.
The bout against Ambomo was the second between the two after a first meeting last May 9, 2014. Wilson also lost that one and went down in the third round.
Ambomo from Cameroon is a 28-year-old boxer who has a total of four fights under his belt and undefeated as a pro.

The last tweet is from former British lighter welterweight champion Curtis Woodhouse who announced that an exhibition fight with Tommy Coyle on Sept. 28 with all the proceeds going to Wilson and his family.
Wilson’s boxing career may be over but the British boxer is currently in the biggest fight of his life.
