Jesse Eisenberg May Play Lex Luthor in ‘Suicide Squad’ – Report
Jesse Eisenberg is said to be in talks with the producers of "Suicide Squad" to play the role of Lex Luthor. The actor will be playing the super villain in another upcoming move "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," which is also stated to be released on 2016.
Jesse Eisenberg may have a very busy schedule ahead of him, after being cast in multiple upcoming movies. According to a report by Deadline, Warner Bros. are currently in talks with the actor to play Lex Luthor in "Suicide Squad."
"Suicide Squad" is mainly about a group of villains serving their sentence in a prison. The group agrees to work for the Government in dangerous classified missions in exchange for a reduced sentence. The producers have so far not named the characters that will appear in the movie.
Jesse Eisenberg has risen in fame after his performance in hit movies like "The Social Netwrok," "Zombieland" and "Now You See me." The actor will appear as Lex Luthor in "Batman V Superman: dawn of Justice" in 2016, adding to the diversity of the characters he has played.
Jesse Eisenberg may have to choose his movies after being cast in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Now You See Me 2." Reports also suggest that he may need to appear if "Zombieland 2" begins filming. This may leave very little time for the actor to be cast as Lex Luthor in "Suicide Squad."
Lex Luthor is a popular comic book super villain, often seen going up against Superman. He is known as one of the most intelligent men on earth and heads a multi-billion dollar multinational company.
The producers of "Suicide Squad" are also reportedly looking to cast actors like Will Smith and Tom Hardy. Some of Will Smith's recent movies include "After Earth," Men in Black 3" and "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues." Tom Hardy has worked in movies like "The Dark Knight Rises," "Lawless" and "This Means War."
