Jessica Alba has been roped in to play the bad girl in the upcoming flick "Barely Lethal".

The film, "Barely Lethal", revolves around Megan played by Hailee Steinfeld, a 16-year-old killer who fakes her own demise in order to start a new life as a high school student and run away from her evil employers. Victoria Knox (Jessica Alba), a former colleague of Megan, believes that something is not right, and she starts to investigate, only to nab Megan.

Samuel L. Jackson will be seen in this action-comedy film as Megan's teacher. Production is set to begin on Oct. 17 with Kyle Newman as the director and John D'Arco as writer. The plot details have not been disclosed by the team.

Apart from this project, Alba has bagged numerous other projects like "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For", "Machete Kills", "Stretch", and "Dear Eleanor".

In "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For", she will be replaying the character of Nancy Callahan.

"Working with Robert and Frank [Miller] again was inspiring to watch them. They were already so seasoned before they came together for the first Sin City and just to see how they both have grown as artists. Then to see them come together again and how well they work together, it's profound what they come up with and what they have done. All their dreams have become fully realized I feel like. When the process is this fun and exciting you know the product is going to be so cool," she said as reported by Inquisitr.

She will also return as Sartana Rivera in Robert Rodriguez's "Machete Kills" which is the third instalment based on "Grindhouse" fake trailers. Alba was all gaga about Rodriguez and the cast of his film. "The cast that he put together for this one is bananas. Robert really has a gift in so many ways. He certainly put together a really cool and eclectic cast," she said to I Am Rogue.
