Jessica Simpson didn't hold back when Aussie "Fashion Star" contestant made a sexist comment in front of the panel of mentors including Nicole Richie.

Each contestant competes with the hope to be the next big thing in fashion for the show "Fashion Star" but it seems not all of them are grateful for the opportunity given to them.

Model turned designer turned contestant Nicolas Bowes didn't win himself any favor when he made a sexist comment towards female mentors Nicole Richie and Jessica Simpson.

The hopeful contestant showed his collection with a series of male models wearing bizarre combination of low cut shirts, leather jackets and rolled up denim shorts which mentor Nicole Richie critiqued.

Hearing the criticism from the panel, the Australian contestant stood up for it and hit back. However, it caused him more trouble than empathy.

"It's very hard to understand the girls giving advice about men's fashion," Bowes said wherein the girls attempted to brush off his remark by laughing.

"That is so Aussie chauvinist," the show's host Elle Macpherson quickly commented.

When it was Jessica's time to speak up, she didn't hold back. The singer/designer looked furious but seemed to hold it together.

"I'm a little bit offended. A lot a bit, actually. To talk down to a woman in this business? We're running the world right now," Simpson said. "I really kind of want to hit you across the face right now."

But it doesn't end there, Jessica also posted what she felt on her Twitter account saying:

"I know what a buyer wants @nicholasbowes and I really hope you take everyone's advice to heart. #FashionStar."

Unsurprisingly, Nicolas didn't receive bids from buyers to sell his clothes. He landed a spot on the bottom two and was eventually sent home
