Jill Duggar officially kissed Derick Dillard amidst the wedding ceremony shortly after they tied the knot. This is the couple's first kiss as Duggar waited till her wedding day to share her first kiss with Dillard.

According to reports, there is no secret that Derick and Jill were waiting for their wedding day to kiss and on June 21 the special moment arrived in front of 100 family members and 900 guests, said Hollywoodlife.

The couple came in contact after Jill's father introduced the two. They couple courted over video Skype chat as per family's strict courting rules. Jim Bob even gave company to Jill when she went to Nepal to meet Derick. Derick was on a Nepal trip with his mum that time.

"Our story is so very unique," Jill said to People about her meeting with Derick, adding, "The first time we talked, he was in Japan, we met in Nepal, he spent time in India and Israel and then came back to Arkansas where he met my family. 'I was in love with someone I had never met in person, but we really knew each other well."

Jill's father Jim Bob knew Derick from the very beginning and he wanted to make sure that his daughter settles for a right guy.

"I was impressed with him as I got to know him over the years. He sounded like an amazing young man,' Jim Bob explained to the mag, adding, "I felt like from the beginning, [he and Jill] had similar personalities and goals. I thought they would hit it off. When a guy is pursing your daughter, you want to check him out and see if there are any red flags and with Ben, there hasn't been. He is very sharp. It appears like a match made in heaven."

Jill Duggar and Derick had announced their engagement after five months of dating.
