The media is abuzz with the news of Jim Parsons “quietly” coming out via a profile by New York Time's Patrick Healy. However, the Emmy-award-winning Big Bang Theory actor was never really in the closet, as far as some Twitter and Tumblr fans are concerned.

National Enquirer has also reported over a year ago that TBBT’s Sheldon Cooper got engaged to partner, Todd Spiewak.

In its September 10, 2010 issue, NE published a photo of Parsons with Spiewak along with a story about his engagement. The story, published shortly after Parson’s Emmy win for his role in TBBT, said: “Jim Parsons celebrates Emmy win by proposing to boyfriend.”

NE said that Parsons, then 37, had proposed to Spiewak right after his 2010 Emmy win, and they had planned a Christmastime wedding in Massachusetts. NE cited an interview with “a close pal of the couple,” who said Parsons may not be talking about his private life, “but he hasn’t attempted to hide the fact that he and Todd are a couple.”
