J.Lo having second thoughts for another season on “American Idol”?
Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez reveals she hasn’t made up her mind as of yet whether or not she’ll be back on the 11th season of America’s top-rated reality television, “American Idol”.
Is it just a strategy to bring more greens home or are there really just too much on Jennifer Lopez’s plate that she has not confirmed returning to the next season of the American Idol.
The singer-songwriter, who after joining the Idol’s panel of judges has also revived her flailing career, has revealed in an interview with Scott Mills of BBC Radio that she hasn’t made up her mind about returning to the reality show’s 11th season.
"You know, this is the question of the hour. I don't know, I don't know," Lopez was quoted as telling BBC Radio by the Associated Press.
And her response: "I don't know. I haven't been forced to make a decision and I'm glad about that because honestly I'm very on the fence about it."
The Huffington Post noted that the Lopez has nothing but good words as she described her first year as Idol judge.
"I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot other things happening, and it's going to come down to me making a choice of what I want to do for the next year,” the singer said, according to Huffington Post citing a report by The Hollywood Reporter.
Lopez, along with rockstar Steven Tyler, joined Season 10 of “American Idol” which brought Scotty McCreery on top of this year’s hopefuls.
Lopez and Tyler joined Idol veteran, Randy Jackson as the new group of Idol judges following the departure of notorious judge, Simon Cowell and resignation of Kara DioGuardi.
With the new set of judges and the changes in format in some of its segments, American Idol is believed to have regained its popularity in terms of ratings as it reached No. 1 in rankings again this season.
Despite this, Jennifer has remained non-committal if she’s going to judge for another year.
Huffington Post noted if this is a strategy on Lopez’s side who had reportedly received $12 million last season while fellow new judge, Steven Tyler received $18.
For J.Lo, this is just not the right time to make a decision yet.
She said: and we're not really at the breaking point of 'You have to make a decision right now!' I'm just really enjoying the time of just waiting and seeing."
Well then, let’s wait and see if Idol will not only be looking for new talents but also for another diva to judge next season.
