Jodie Foster Speaks Up and Defends Kristen Stewart
When images of Kristen Stewart kissing Director Rupert Sanders emerged, many were quick to blast the "Twilight" star. But this time, Kristen finds an ally with her "Panic Room" co-star, Jodie Foster.
The Kristen Stewart-Rupert Sanders cheating scandal has been on the news for quite a while now. Although Rob already came out again on the public spotlight, there is still no sign of Kristen.
The "Snow White and the Hunstman" actress is said to be staying in her former producer's home in California after moving out of the L.A. home she used to share with Rob. She also reportedly dropped out from the London premier of her new movie, "On the Road."
Kristen continues to be lambasted as a consequence of what she referred to as a "momentary indiscretion." Although she gave out a public apology to all the people she hurt, most especially to Rob, it seems like all of them are not ready to forgive and forget just yet.
While the media is still on a frenzy on who they call now as a "trampire", Jodie Foster was quick to defend Kristen by posting an impassioned essay blowing harsh media treatment to young stars today.
In the essay, she described the tender moments she shared with the young Kristen Stewart as they star in the 2002 movie, "Panic Room."
"We talked and laughed for hours, sharing spontaneous mysteries and venting our boredom. I grew to love that kid. She turned 11 during our shoot and on her birthday I organized a mariachi band to serenade her at the taco bar while she blew out her candles. She begrudgingly danced around a sombrero with me but soon rushed off to a basketball game with the grip and electric departments," the 49-year-old actress penned down.
She also added that if she were a young actress today, she would have probably quit before she even started.
"If I had to grow up in this media culture, I don't think I could survive it emotionally. I would only hope that someone who loved me, really loved me, would put their arm around me and lead me away to safety."
In the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, Jodie had nothing but praises for Kristen. She said during her brief interview, "I'm just so proud to see what an amazing lady she's turned into."
