Pop stars and the weed smoking go hand in hand. Right from the times of Bob Marley to the present Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, all stars seem to be addicted to smoking marijuana and confessing their love for the substance. The latest star to do a tell-all is Joe Jonas from the Jonas Brothers (now a defunct boy band) who held none other than Miley Cyrus responsible for it!

In an explosive new interview with Vulture magazine, the singer has opened up about sex, drugs, his life as a Jonas Brother, wearing a purity ring, reasons why the boy band split and also who introduced him to weed.

Jonas revealed that the first time he tried weed was when he was just seventeen years of age and was in the company of Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus.

"The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley. I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, "Try it! Try it!" so I gave it a shot, and it was all right. I don't even smoke weed that often anymore," said the singer to the magazine.

The singer then also revealed how he started drinking when he was just 16 and did not had a good experience as he fell off the stairs. Over the years, his fondness for alcohol too got controlled as now he enjoys the wine and vodka rather getting addicted to it.

"Now I appreciate wine or a vodka-soda at the end of the day every once in a while," said the singer.

The singer and his band famously wore "purity rings" which symbolized virginity. However Joe has confessed that he first had sex when he was 20 and is happy he waited for the right person.

"We decided to take the rings off a few years ago. I lost my virginity when I was 20. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I'm glad I waited for the right person, because you look back and you go, "That girl was batshit crazy. I'm glad I didn't go there," said Joe.

The singer also confessed that the things were not good within the Jonas Brother camp since long and the split was inevitable. However it did hurt him when Nick Jonas announced it.

"When Nick presented the idea of closing a chapter and moving on, I freaked out. I didn't know whether to pick up and leave or just punch something, because I was furious," explains Joe.
