Joel Madden will get a boost at the final show of "The Voice" as his father-in-law, Lionel Richie, has confirmed to perform a duet. It will also be the first time the two will sing together.

Telling his Twitter followers, Joel said that "he can't wait to show him around Australia," referring to Lionel Richie. The favorite "The Voice" coach is apparently thrilled that Lionel is coming over to Australia.

Lionel once said that although he has been watching Joel on "The Voice," he had delayed time to visit him and Nicole because of the "harsh" Australian winters. Richie said that he "follows" the sun but hints that Aussie fans will see more of him in the warmer months later this year.

"Joel is just in love with Australia. This is a love affair," although he is not very happy about Joel's plans to move to Australia with Nicole and their kids.

"Every time I talk to him he can't stop raving about how great it is in Australia. I love the place too, but I don't want them to move there. I keep reminding them how far it is for Granddad to travel to see the grandkids."

But his duet with Joel Madden on "The Voice" finale isn't his only appointment in Australia. Lionel will have a whirlwind of promotional tours for his album which has reached the number two spot on the ARIA chart this year.

Anyone who wants to catch the finale of "The Voice" should be reminded that there are only two shows remaining for the season. One is on Sunday night and the finale will be on Monday, when the winner for "The Voice" Australia will be revealed.
