WWE superstars John Cena and CM punk are reportedly injured.
During his main event match against Alberto Del Rio, John Cena tweaked his leg. When he sent Del Rio in to the corner, he got down to his ankle looking really hurt. The referee stopped the match at one point, but Cena was able to finish it off. Reports say that it was supposed to be part of the main story line of the said match.
However, according to Wrestlezone.com, Cena appeared to be hurting a little bit after the WWE European Tour, so he has indeed been wrestling injured. Cena wrestled every night of the tour and the severe WWE workload has maybe affected his body physically.
Not to mention, he just got back from a torn tricep injury during the Hell in a Cell event. He was not even supposed to come back yet and is expected to be gone for 4 to 6 months. However, he delighted his fans by getting back in action and on to the ring sooner than they expected.
Meanwhile, on a separate match, CM Punk seemed to have suffered an injury too. It was during a WWE tag match in Leeds, England. CM Punk teamed up with Daniel Bryan against Erick Rowan and Luke Harper.
After Punk hit Rowan for the win, he stayed down in the boxing ring, with hands on his head. Later on, the referee and his teammate Bryan checked on him. Punk did not get up right away. After several minutes, he managed to get up and left the ring to celebrate with fans.
So it appears that Punk did suffer injury and got hurt during the said match. However, it was reported that he will continue to play and will not miss any of his succeeding matches.
