John Travolta Denies Gay Allegations, Claims Rumoured 'Lover' Only Wants Money
John Travolta is furious due to the continuous media allegations on his personal life. In an interview given to the Daily Beast, he blatantly denied all the gay rumours attached to his name throughout his acting career.
In the exclusive interview, the 60-year-old actor shrugged off the allegation, saying that he doesn't 'care that much about it'. He has broken his silence months after a lawsuit was filed against him by one of his former employees who claimed to have engaged in a six-year gay relationship with the actor.
On being questioned regarding the lawsuit, Travolta claimed that it is a conspiracy to extract money out of him. "It's just about people wanting money", quipped the American actor and dancer. "That's all. It happens on many levels."
However, Doug Gotterba, the former employee who filed the lawsuit refuted the actor's claims. He said that he has worked as a pilot for Travolta's aircraft company for six years until 1987. As per Daily mail, the former pilot is alleging that he and Travolta had a sexual relationship throughout his employment in the company.
The lawsuit has come to light as Gotterba wants to write a tell-all book, which will include the alleged gay relationship with Travolta. Upon leaving the company in 1987, the pilot signed a non-disclosure agreement. With respect the connection of this with the present lawsuit against the company, Gotterba is questioning the authority of the agreement to prevent him from publishing the book.
The nominee for various Academy Awards and the winner of a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor has been constantly hounded by such charges from time to time. Fox News reported that the actor had been in a similar situation in the past as well. In 2012, a former employee of Royal Caribbean Cruise accused the star of forcing himself on him. The complaint was filed in a Los Angeles court, but the case was later settled 'out of court'.
Masseurs in Beverly Hills also filed a similar battery sexual assault case in 2012, but the case was later settled as well.
Although the actor lightly brushed off all the rumours concerning him, he admitted that he felt absolutely terrible when the media failed to spare him of the tabloid issues while he was mourning the untimely death of his young son during a Christmas vacation. "Sex stuff is always going to be interesting to somebody," said the actor in the interview. "But you stay away from my family," he added.
