John Travolta Gay Claims: Actor Comments On Accusations, Says 'Sex Stuff Always An Interesting' Topic
Famous actor John Travolta finally addresses previous allegations of his homosexuality brought out by a former employee.
While in Toronto for his new movie, "Forger," The Daily Beast caught up with the Hollywood actor for an interview regarding his previous films and personal life. Ultimately, the rumour concerning his sexuality was brought up.
John Travolta shrugged off speculations that he is gay and claimed that he really doesn't "care that much about it."
"This is every celebrity's Achilles heel," he said.
The 60-year old dismissed the allegations, claiming "it's just about people wanting money," which reportedly "happens on many levels."
Additionally, John Travolta even showed little interest in bringing up the topic, claiming it's something he can't control.
"Other people may attack it back more than I do, but I let all the media stuff go a long time ago because I can't control it," he told The Daily Beast.
Reports relating to sexuality is "always going to be interesting to somebody" so it's not offensive, the actor added. But anything relating to his family is a soft topic for the actor. He recalled when the media was harsh on their reports concerning his son's death. Fox News claimed John Travolta was disheartened by speculations claiming that the body of his son, Jeff, was discovered by his assumed gay lover. The actor said it was the "lowest" he's ever felt.
Earlier this year, the actor's former employee, Douglas Gotterba, made allegations that he's been in a sexual relationship with John Travolta during his employment. Gotterba claimed he served as pilot from 1981to 1987 according to TV Guide. Details of his supposed gay relations with the actor were revealed to The National Enquirer.
Additionally, Gotterba reportedly claimed he received a lawsuit from the actor's lawyer, Marty Singer. Gotterba denied the agreement however Singer later confirmed it with paperworks according to TMZ. John Travolta's attorney later attributed Gotterba's intentions for a shot at fame.
"We plan to get this meritless case promptly dismissed," Marty Singer told TMZ.
The case is still open as investigations into John Travolta's alleged gay relations with his ex-pilot is still ongoing.
