Two new clips from Johnny Depp's new film "The Rum Diary" have been released. The movie is based on Hunter S. Thompson's novel by the same name. The story centers on a journalist named Paul Kemp, played by Depp. It revolves around Kemp's struggle to find balance when he takes a freelance job in Puerto Rico for an English-language newspaper in the 1950s.

The film has a special place in Depp's heart and he brings it honor by paying tribute to the late writer and portraying his close friend.

The top billed actor stars alongside Amber Heard playing as his love interest who is married to a wealthy man played by Aaron Eckhart. Richard Jenkins also takes the role of a newspaper editor.
