Aside from using the box office numbers to come up with this survey, Johnny Depp once again leads the list of the favourite actors in America, landing on the number one spot.

It was the Harris Poll held yearly which decided that it is the lead star of the major hit 'Pirates of the Caribbean' who is the most favoured male star in Hollywood. The survey took the opinions and votes of around 2,237 adults over the Net within a week of deliberation last month.

This means two consecutive years of holding the title of America's favorite actor for Depp. Other big stars also made it to the list who are surely familiar to you as well. Check out the slideshow for more pictures of these male actors who were able to make it on the survey list.

For years, Johnny Depp has taken his time to prove that he offers high appeal to the mainstream audiences, indie film experts and fanatics as well. His films done for Disney such as 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'Alice in Wonderland,' amongst many others have earned millions more than his recent return as Captain Jack Sparrow for 'On Stranger Tides,' the newest 'Pirates' sequel.

His most recent work, which is the adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson entitled 'The Rum Diary' became a flop where he played the role of an eccentric writer. It just earned an amount of $13 million in US alone.
