Say goodbye to Captain Jack Sparrow. Hollywood's favorite actor, Johnny Depp, is now sporting yet another pale complexion in the Tim Burton upcoming movie "Dark Shadows."

Depp never looked 'normal' in Tim Burton films but he may just have a good excuse for not looking his best after the reported break-up of his long-time relationship with Vanessa Paradis.

The Hollywood star plays vampire Barnabus Collins, an ex-playboy who returns to the manor house where he used to rule before tangling with a witch. Depp's character is 200 years old in this movie, exactly how a vampire presents itself in movies.

A first look at Depp playing a bloodsucker has been released after doing his own takes on vampires. Michelle Pfeiffer also stars in the movie as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard, the reclusive matriarch.

The movie, which will be released May 11, is based on a gothic soap opera and also stars Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Lee Miller. In the film, Depp battles other supernatural creatures such as werewolves, ghosts and witches.

Filmed in a remote area of Surrey in England, the script is by first-time Burton collaborates with Seth Grahame-Smith, author of the "Abraham Lincoln:Vampire Hunter" and "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" novels. Based on the Gothic television show from the 60's, "Dark Shadows" has had big screen adaptations before as well as an updated TV version in the late 90's with Ben Cross.

Fans are definitely excited to see and even compare Depp's take on the undead strays from the look of reigning vampire heartthrob Robert Pattinson from "The Twilight Saga." Instead of chiseled good looks and sparkling skin, Depp's character is creepy with haunting dark circles around his eyes and claw-like fingernails filed to a point.
