Jon Cryer from Two and a Half Men: The Next Christian Grey? [See Photos]
The funny man from the sitcom "Two and a Half Men", Jon Cryer wants to be Christian Grey. Jon had been one of the people who had tweeted all about "Sons of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam backing out from the film. Plus, Jon implied that now was his chance to grab the role from other actors. .
The funny man wasn't being serious about the role as he does know that the role requires a lot of "must-haves" and "must-dos" but for Cryer he'd rather see himself play the role. In lieu to his jokingly pitching himself in the list of "rumored" Christian Greys, it has been a trending topic on who would be able to fulfill the needs of the fans and for the role of Christian Grey.
Having actors back out of roles is nothing new in Hollywood, you would be surprised how many other stars have been the first choice for a leading role in some of the most famous movies. Like Charlie Hunnam, these stars had backed out because they felt that they were not fit for the role or could not do justice to it.
Take for example the role of Keanu Reeves in "The Matrix", which originally was given to Will Smith to play to which he turned down. People ironically did not know about such fact. In fact, no one could think of anyone else who could play the role of "Neo" given Keanu Reeves did justice for the role.
Christian Bale too was not the first choice for the role of the serial killer in "American Psycho" but now however no one can think of better actor than Bale.
The role of "the Joker" in the Dark Knight movie was played by "Heath Ledger" who won awards and recognition for his role despite the many pressures and attempts on the role by fans and other actors. Yet, Ledger was able to pull off such a fantastic "joker" and gave his life up for the role that he will be forever known as the best.
Charlie Hunnam may have felt that he was not suited for the role which caused him to drop the part. The "Sons of Anarchy" star could take a few tips from Jon Cryer who thinks that he would be best fit for the role. Oh, the funny man certainly knows how to joke around.
