Jonas Brothers Breaking Up as a Band? Reports of 'Deep Rift' Between the Band Emerge as they Cancel Tour [PHOTOS and VIDEO]
Why do all wonderful boy bands break up? The latest to join the bandwagon is the hit 2005 band Jonas Brothers as they have officially cancelled their tour because of a "deep rift" between the brothers. Not really good news for the fans!
Kevin Jonas, 25, Joe Jonas, 24, and Nick Jonas, 21, have reportedly cancelled their 19-day tour of the United States and Canada that was scheduled to kick off on Oct. 11. The band allegedly had a huge fight, spokesperson, Jesse Derris, has confirmed to People Magazine.
"There is a deep rift within the band," Jessie told People mag. "There was a big disagreement over their music direction."
A source close to the band has revealed that the fight is not personal and the band just has differences over the music direction and choice of songs, and the like. Since they are brothers, the bond of love is still strong, according to the source.
"They just cancelled the tour, after a successful summer tour," a source close to the band told Hollywood Life. "They had to resolve their issues about the music and direction of the band. I's not a personal fight, it's about the music. They are brothers, they love each other. Yes, they are still speaking."
However, fans should not be quick to conclude anything as the band is meeting over the weekend to decide their fate on working together in spite of their differences.
"They are taking it super seriously because they want to be around 30 years from now," explained the source. "So cancelling a tour to get their sh*t together will pay off handsomely in their future. They are not going to break up," he added.
Fans who bought tickets for the shows will receive refunds for their purchases. The band was scheduled to perform for big cities including Boston, New York City, and Seattle. The Jo Brothers were also expected to release a fifth studio album, "V," later this year, whose fate remains in dilemma now.
