Jonas Brother’s ‘Wedding Bells’ Song: 3 Clues Nick Jonas Wrote It’s For Miley Cyrus
Nick Jonas might be taking some song writing tips from fellow musician Taylor Swift. Their brad new song "Wedding Bells" might be his song for Nick's ex-girlfriend, Miley Cyrus.
The Jonas Brothers played their new song "Wedding Bells" for the first time last Thursday during their big reunion show at New York's Radio City Music Hall. Taking a closer inspection at the lyrics of the song, Nick might be wearing his heart on his sleeve, since most fans can't help but wonder that it might be written for Miley Cyrus. Adding up to that, his introduction of the song made everything else sound a bit more suspicious.
"We're in the process of recording a new album, which is both good and bad," Nick confessed.
"You have to write a song and apologize for it later. I don't think I've ever written a song that makes me as uncomfortable as this song does. Some things happened in the last year that affected me in that moment. This song is called Wedding Bells." added the musician.
While only Nick knows the story behind the song, MTV investigates the lyrics and suggested three probable reasons why it's intended for Miley Cyrus.
Clue #1 - The song opened to these lyrics, "She says, "Can you keep a secret?/ A ceremony's set for June/ I know it's a rush, but I just love him so much/ I hope that you can meet him soon.'" As reported in the news, Miley and Liam didn't get married in June but they announced their engagement during that time.
Clue #2 - Nick and Miley had a history of an "on and off" relationship. They got back together for the last time in 2009, before Miley met Liam on the set of their movie, "The Last Song." So probably, it might be his plea in the lyrics that says, "I don't want to love, if it's not you/ I don't want to hear the wedding bells bloom/ Maybe we can try one last time/ But I don't want to hear the wedding bells chime."
Clue #3- But biggest clue was mentioned in the line that goes, "If you recall our anniversary falls/ Eleven nights into June." Any fan of Nick and Miley would know that June 11 was the date they first met. In a book that Miley wrote before, she said, "I remember the exact date, June 11, 2006. It was the day I met my first love. Let's call him Prince Charming."
