Jordin Sparks At Peace With Jason Derulo Split
Jordin Sparks took to Twitter to express her true feelings after her confirmed split with Jason Derulo. And it isn't a reaction that one would expect from a heartbroken lass, as she was calm and even positive about the whole thing.
Just a day after E news reported their split after three years of dating, the 24-year-old "American Idol" winner was quick to share her feelings on the breakup and be inspirational about it. To her 4.12 million followers, Jordin Sparks put forward a brave face. The "Battlefield" singer's battle cry is of victory, not defeat.
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened," she wrote this morning. She even completed her post with a heart emoji. It seems the singer is not regretting anything nor is she harbouring any anger towards Jason.
Jason already shared the same thing earlier to KDWB-FM's Big D. In the phone interview, he shared he's not regretting anything and Jordin Sparks would remain a good friend to him. The "Talk Dirty" singer claimed everything is still cool between them and the split is not a bad situation for them.
The two got romantically linked as early as 2011, but they only confirmed their relationship on January 2012. No one really saw the split coming as they have been equally supportive of each other and showing up in events looking in love. They hit the red carpet together at the MTV Video Music Awards last month looking really matchy-matchy with their all-white ensemble. Sparks was also supportive of Jason's judging stint on "So You Think You Can Dance" last summer. When Jason released his hit single, "Marry Me," it was even speculated he's ready to pop the question and the two are gearing to tie the knot.
The fans are inconsolable. Holllywood Life reported fans were crushed about the couple's split. Fans cited how real and perfect the two are for each other and the couple breaking up makes them feel sad. The fact that the couple got to three years, a mean feat in the entertainment industry, proves how "normal, real and legit" the two had been, as one fan wrote.
