Almost every teenager in the world has fallen in love with the British boy band, One Direction. It's no surprise that even half of Hollywood has taken a liking to the members of the band namely Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik.

However, could the same "liking" be said to that of Josh Groban's performance at the Emmy Awards 2012 where he sang One Direction song, "What Makes You Beautiful?"

The boys of One Direction have gone from television cuties to world-renowned performers. From being five individual contestants on "X-Factor' to becoming the most popular boy band since Backstreet Boys, One Direction has garnered an impressively large fan base. Along with their rise to popularity, the boys have also won a few awards along the way of which include the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 beating the teenage heartthrob, Justin Bieber.

It isn't surprising that with their popularity, some Hollywood performers would take their songs and cover it for their own of which include Josh Groban. Groban performed his rendition of "What Makes You Beautiful" at the Emmy Awards 2012. The 31-year old singer had paid tribute to the Emmy host held at the Nokia Theatre, Los Angeles, Jimmy Kimmel, through a faux pas segment. Hilariously, Jimmy had even paid tribute to himself at the start of the show.

"I think it's a shame that we wait [to do the memoriam] until after the legends pass. It's important to celebrate the living too. Tonight, I'd like you to join me in paying tribute to the life and work of someone all of us, someone every person in this room admires, respects, and loves," said Jimmy as an introduction.

While Josh Groban performed the ballad-version of "What Makes You Beautiful", images of Jimmy Kimmel aired on screen which was truly one of the hilarious segments of the Awards show. Despite not making it to the Emmy Awards, One Direction has Josh Groban to thank for in at least making their presence felt in a humorous way.
