Journalists Reveal How Kim Kardashian Controls How She Appears In Public
Kim Kardashian West is one of the most recognizsble names and faces in the entertainment industry today. The reality TV star, who is now also a fashion icon, retail mogul, designer and one half of an entertainment power couple, among other things, is also earning millions out of her event appearances and various other gigs. Kim apparently takes control of how she appears to the public literally by choosing her own and her fans' social media posts carefully, down to controlling camera angles during her interviews.
During a recent interview with the London Evening Standard, Kim said that she sometimes takes over ten versions of a selfie before choosing the perfect one to post and share to the public. Kim agreed to a photo with Laura Clark, who had just finished her half hour allotted time. Kim is currently promoting the fashion line that she designs with her sister Kourtney and Khloe aptly called the Kardashian Kollection.
Kim was accommodating, and she cheerfully agreed to the photo and stood beside her interviewer. Her assistant took the photo and even before checking it, she asked her assistant to turn off the flash and delete the photo that was taken with the flash, saying that the lighting sucked at the venue.
When the next photo was taken sans flash, Kim checked it and asked for another one to be taken. After further scrutiny, she's finally satisfied with the photo and her assistant quickly deleted all the previous substandard ones, all while the phone's owner stood by.
She did pretty much the same in a recent trip to Australia with her husband Kanye West and baby North. In a store visit to Kanye's Yeezus Tour Merchandise store, Kim agreed to take a selfie with one of the fans in the store and asked for it to be retaken when her inspection concluded that the initial photo proved to be too revealing.
On the same trip, In Touch Weekly Reports that one of the journalists who was given some face time for an interview with Kim observed how she meticulously controlled how she appeared on screen. Melissa Hoyer reported that Kim insisted to see monitors in order to make sure that the camera angles are showing her best side.
"She asked the camera guy to shoot form the 'waist up' after she had seen the monitor shot of herself," Hoyer shared. Despite the obsessive control over the shots which might be perceived as some to be diva behaviour, Hoyer still found Kim to be pleasant and admitted to liking her.
