Julion Alvarez Dead: Death Hoax Reports Misleads Readers By Using 'CNN' Tag
Julion Alvarez recently became a victim of death hoax. A Spanish website GrupoWallStreet.com, said in one of its reports that Julion has been murdered. To mislead the readers the website used the CNN header for the report, according to the reports by Epoch Times. The news went viral due to fake reference of CNN.
The article is titled "Asesinan a Julión álvarez saliendo de un restaurante." However, there is no proof to the reports as no other main media outlet in Mexico has reported the news.
Moreover, there have been past instances when Groupo Wall Street has claimed that Justin Bieber and Johnny Depp has died.
Both Bieber and Depp are also still alive. Also there is no disclaimer on the website. Once the news of Julion's death surfaced online, it started trending on Twitter. There were many fans who expressed their condolences. Here are some Twitter reactions:

The fake article has also received thousands of shares on Facebook. Meanwhile, the other celebs who became the victim of a death hoax in the past week includes Lupillo Rivera. However, the singer took to Twitter to clear the fake news and said that he is well and alive.
"I don't know where this bad news came from, but it's a lie," he said. "There's still Lupillo for a while. We'll see each other in New York tomorrow. Only believe the news when it comes from my official pages."
The singer was recently rushed to hospital for a respiratory problem and the site, which reported Lupillo's fake death featured his picture from the hospital. Even Rivera's mother took to Twitter to condemn the rumour.
"A friend just called me telling me not to see the news," she said. "What happened? That Lupillo died? I told her that they are crazy. I spoke to him yesterday. He's fine."
Celebrity death hoax reportedly generates a lot of revenue. However, such reports hurt the sentiments of the people involved as well as the fans of the victim.
