The Ten Network plans speed up Junior MasterChef to its schedule next month. The network have decided to premiere the show on September. The program was not expected until after the Commonwealth Games in October.
According to The Daily Telegraph, The MasterChef spin-off is in the final stage of production at Sydney's Eveleigh railyards.
Last month, viewers were treated to a short prevew of the new show during the finale of MasterChef Australia. It was revealed that Junior MasterChef constestant outperformed some adults on the orginal. Contestants of the new show ranges from eight to twelve years old.
Ten Network said the hype surrounding the new series assures it will be a stand-out. "We were completely blown away by the response to the sizzle I put in the finale, everyone's been raving about it," David Mott, Ten's director of programming, said. "We're absolutely delighted by the kids and it's one that's going to surprise. They are going to show the adults up -even the ones on the original series."
