‘Jurassic Park 4’: Dilophosaurus Alive, East Dock Nightmare Hinted
A recent photo released by Colin Trevorrow from the set of "Jurassic World" reportedly hints the return of the Dilophosaurus and a look back at the East Dock Nightmare in the original 1993 "Jurassic Park."
The recent tease was revealed a month after "Jurassic World" wrapped up filming in Hawaii. According to Collider and Movieweb, filming finished in the early days of August. However, Colin Trevorrow is still teasing fans of what's to come in the movie.
The director tweeted a photo of the old East Dock sign on Sept. 23 and captioned it "Autumn." The sign was reportedly last seen when Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) knocked it over in "Jurassic Park" when he attempted to flee with some stolen dinosaur embryos. From the photo, the sign is shown covered in leaves and dirt. However, its state reportedly brought speculations whether the Dilophosaurus would return in "Jurassic World." Nerdy may have been killed in the movie, according to Movieweb, but it doesn't entirely mean the reptile no longer exists.
Additionally, Collider points out how the old East Dock sign was positioned among the leaves. When Dennis Nedry first struck it down during his escape in "Jurassic Park," it fell flat pointing to the direction of the East Dock. Surprisingly, from the photo released by Colin Trevorrow, the sign reportedly still points in the exact same direction. The site claims Nedry's actions may have brought in some consequences which will be revealed in "Jurassic World," possibly involving a certain lost Barbasol can," Collider said in jest.
As the tertiary antagonist in both the movie and the original book source, Movieweb claims Dennis Nedry was responsible for the chaos that occurred at the Jurassic Park after smuggling dinosaur embryos. A computer programmer with little knowledge about dinosaurs, and in financial crisis, he takes up an offer from Biosyn to smuggle the embryos away from the island.
The old East Dock sign reportedly brings speculations whether Dennis Nedry, who was killed off by the Dilophosaurus, will be referred to once again in "Jurassic World." However, fans may have to wait and see until the movie comes out on June 12, 2015.
