‘Jurassic World’ Has ‘Playfulness’ In The Script, But It’s A ‘Scary Adventure’ Says Irrfan Khan
Actor Irrfan Khan, who plays the role of billionaire Masrani in "Jurassic World," spoke about his upcoming movie. Masrani is the new owner of the dinosaur park in the movie. The actor compared the upcoming movie with the original movie released in 1993.
The actor Irrfan Khan spoke to HollywoodReporter about his role in the upcoming movie. He described the character Masrani as flamboyant who is trying to entertain the world and has good intentions. But the character lacks the wisdom to see the consequences of his actions.
The actor reportedly said that he loved the playfulness in the script of "Jurassic World" and also appreciated the director Colin Trevorrow's approach. He described the dinosaurs in the upcoming movie as being scary but said that the movie was not a horror film. He said that the movie will be a "scary adventure" for the fans.
Talking about the difficulties in working with multiple CGI characters on the set, Irrfan Khan said that the most important thing in a movie is the chemistry an actor has with the director. If the chemistry is good then the number of CGI or real actors does not matter, said the actor. The upcoming movie may be featuring a lot more CGI dinosaurs compared to the original movie.
Readers who have watched the first movie from the franchise in 1993 will remember that the dinosaur park in the movie was still not open to the public and a small group of experts travelled to the island to inspect the park. The events that followed their arrival led to the park getting closed.
"Jurassic World" however will feature the same park, but the park will be fully functional with thousands of visitors coming to the park every day. The park is under new management and the character Masrani heads the company that owns the park.
Irrfan Khan is from India and has acted in many popular Bollywood movies and TV shows. He has also starred in some big budget Hollywood movies like "Life of Pi" and "The Amazing Spider-Man." The actor recalls a time when "Jurassic Park" released in 1993 and he barely had the money to watch it in the theaters.
Comparing "Jurassic World" to the original movie, the actor reportedly said that with the advancement in technology, the upcoming movie will feature a "fully bloomed dinosaur amusement park." Readers who have watched the trailer of the movie will recall dinosaurs like the Mosasaurus that did not feature in the first movie.
