Justin Beiber is apparently retiring from the music industry. He told Power 106 FM that after the release of his latest album "Journals" he would be leaving the music industry. "After the new album, uh, I'm actually, uh, I'm retiring man, I'm retiring."

After realizing what he has said, Justin Beiber rephrased his sentence, "I want to grow as an artist and I'm taking a step out, I want my music to mature." Is Selena Gomez the reason for Justin Bieber 's retirement from music?

Bieber is still hurt from his break-up with Selena Gomez and it looks as if he wants to gain a new perspective in his life by moving away from the limelight and from the world where he is constantly linked with Gomez look alike.

At the premiere of his movie, "Believe," Bieber told the MTV news that he does not think what he said was a joke. " I don't know if that's a joke. I don't know. I don't know."

However, Justin's comment on retiring from music is being taken as the joke. Even his media representative Scooter Braun said Justin is not serious about what he said and he will be back in the studio, as he likes it here.

"I wanna get to know my family more," he told MTV News, adding that he wants to use the coming year to "figure out myself as a man. I've been away so much, I've missed a lot of great years with my brother and sister."

Meanwhile, it was reported that Gomez still talks to Bieber's mother Pattie Mallete and the latter wants both of them to get together. Gomez isn't talking to Bieber but she is still in contact with his mom," a source told Showbizspy.com.

"Justin's mom loves Selena and really wants her and Justin to get back together because she thinks it would be the best thing for her son," the source further revealed.
