Justin Bieber could be facing prosecution for allegedly spitting in his neighbour's face and threatening to kill him. The Los Angeles County District Attorney is now deciding whether to prosecute the 19-year-old Canadian singer after getting recommendation from the Sheriff.

The tween heartthrob was investigated in March for his hostile behaviour. He was racing his Ferrari in the gated community of Calabasas in Los Angeles when his neighbour confronted him over his speed.

The man, a 47-year-old businessman and a father of 3, stormed on to his property and screamed at the singer for endangering the community with his driving. He told deputies that Justin responded by spitting in his face and threatening to kill him.

Justin denied that he had done such things, though he apparently admitted that he confronted his neighbour, according to TMZ sources. His camp also believed that the neighbour trespassed in his property.

Now, the D.A. has gotten hold of his case after the L.A. County Sheriff's Department investigated the incident and sent the file to the prosecutors. Sources told TMZ that the sheriff's department recommends charging Justin with battery. Although they don't think that the controversial teenage singer should go to jail, they believe that he needs serious counselling because of his repeated and escalating bad behaviour.

The cops aren't singling out the famous singer, though. They would also make the same recommendation for any first time offender with a bad temper.

The D.A. is expected to decide on the case soon.

Also in March, Justin was involved in an altercation with a London photographer, whom he threatened to "beat the fuc*" out of him. The incident was captured on film, which he later blamed on a "rough week."

Then just last week, he reportedly set off several speed cameras while driving a Lamborghini in Dubai.

A witness told The Sun that he was travelling along the Sheika Zayed Road when he had set off at least six cameras as he went past them.

"He had a close shave with a bus and stood out like a sore thumb. A 19-year-old in a white Lamborghini is hardly discreet," witness Nikki Jameson told the UK tabloid.
