Justin Bieber found himself at the center of a heated debate involving Tea Party and its alleged vilification by Hollywood media.

The 16-year old singer appeared in CSI, as a domestic terrorist with "Tea Party" leanings, as described by the New York Times. In the show, a terrorist group plants a bomb in a Las Vegas police funeral. For that particular CSI episode, the main suspects were patriots supposedly upset about health care reform and Barrack Obama.

Depicting the so-called patriots with strong resemblance to the Tea Party movement in the US triggered debate over the media's characterization of the Tea Party.

Radio host Lars Larson, was quoted by media outlets as saying: "[This episode] is designed to demonize the Tea Party in a way the Obama Administration and the Democrats in Congress have not been able to do with the truth."

But despite these controversy, New York Times has fair words for the Canadian singer's appearance: "Mr. Bieber did fine, actually. He had mercifully few lines, and his doughy pout worked well enough in the part of an innocent-looking teenage extremist."
