Justin Bieber Paints Graffiti for Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) Victims in the Philippines
Justin Bieber joins the many celebrities who extend their support for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in the Philippines.
The teen heartthrob draws graffiti like a professional. Bieber's art work is a pair of hands in a praying position, and it was posted on Instagram. "Pray for the Philippines - JB," it says. "We all can help," he wrote as its caption. It has nearly half a million likes now.
According to TMZ, Bieber and his friend Milk Tyson did the art work in Los Angeles on Saturday evening.
"My brother Justin Bieber just blessed me with some art at one of my sports," Tyson also posted on Instagram. "We are going to do something big to give back to the victims of the tragedy, pray for the Philippines," Tyson added
The Canadian heartthrob is planning to auction off the spray cans as well as a signed picture of the wall to help raise money for typhoon-stricken nation. A source further told TMZ that Bieber is passionate to help the Philippines get back on its feet. This action is said to be his first step.
Bieber resumes his current album Believe tour in Mexico on Nov. 18 to 19.
It feels heart-warming to know that many international celebrities sympathise with the Philippines. Other musician bands like Jars of Clay and Journey have also pledged donations for the typhoon relieve operations. According to Huffington Post, Journey is going to donate $350,000 for the Philippines. Jars of Clay is currently trying to raise $50,000 from downloads of their song Fall Asleep.
The typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) made its landfall to the Philippines on Nov. 8. The current death toll is at 3,976. It has been reported that 1,590 people are still missing. The estimated total cost of the damages caused by the super typhoon is more than P10 billion.
