Justin Bieber still has ‘tween-fans’ in mind while accepting first MTV Movie Award
The Canadian teen sensation feels blessed as he nabbed his first MTV Movie Award in June 2011 .
Canadian teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has claimed feeling 'so blessed' as he accepts his first MTV Movie Award, still having millions of tween fans in mind as he took the stage at the major awards' ceremony.
Bieber, according to MTV News, was not supposed to be at Sunday night’s event but made a surprising stop to personally receive his first MTV trophy for the Best Jaw Dropping Moment category in his documentary-film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never.
And in his speech, he emphasized that he had to be onstage in hopes of not disappointing his millions of fans.
"It feels great. I'm so blessed," Bieber said in the post-award interview backstage, according to MTV News.
He added: "I'm so glad to be back here and to have so many great fans. It's a great night."
"Thank you so much," the 17-year old pop teen singer said as he explained in his surprise appearance at the MTV Movie Awards saying, "I couldn't let down my fans."
The music news website noted that Bieber acknowledges the importance of the film Never Say Never and the impact it has made in his career.
Bieber said: "It was great. It was my first time performing at Madison Square Garden and, just being there and having that experience, I'm glad that I got to just have that experience. It was great."
In the speech, Bieber also did not forget to thank the film director, Jon Chu, as well as his manager, Scooter Braun, and his family.
The teen sensation has all the reasons to be happy as he beat big names in Hollywood for the category.
Other nominees for the best jaw dropping moment category include James Franco for 127 Hours, as he cuts off his arm; Leonardo DiCaprio, and Ellen Page for Inception at the Paris Café Scene; Natalie Portman – Black Swan for the mutilation scene where she pulls the skin off her finger ,and Steve-O – Jackass 3D, for the port-a-potty bungee stunt.
Bieber has just arrived from visiting his hometown in Canada where he brought his girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
A separate report by IBTimes confirmed that Bieber introduced Selena to his family, including his father and siblings. Shortly before that, the young couple had a short getaway in Hawaii and a pit stop in Selena’s hometown of Texas as she introduced Bieber to her folks.
