Justin Timberlake to be honored at 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards
Timberlake will be presented with Big Help Award in recognition of his humanitarian works and involvement charitable with a number of environmental causes.
Social Network actor and singer, Justin Timberlake will be honored at the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards on April 2
According to Access Hollywood, Timberlake, who portrayed Sean Parker’s character at the “Social Network” is set to be presented with Big Help Award in recognition of his humanitarian works and involvement charitable with a number of environmental causes.
Justin who stars in an upcoming movie, “Friends With Benefits” opposite Mila Kunis, has been reported in the past few years as actively participating in charitable activities for Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Shriners, said Access Hollywood, helps in providing medical care to kids in need. The former NSYNC member is also holding a yearly golf tournament in hopes to raise funds for the medical cause.
"I was inspired at a young age by my parents and family to do everything possible to give back to the world around us," Justin Timberlake was quoted as saying by Access Hollywood.
The singer-actor has also expressed his gratitude to Nickelodeon for naming him as one of this year’s honoree.
Timberlake said, "And it has become a mission of mine to help kids of all ages understand the importance of getting involved in their communities and local charities and doing their part to preserve the planet. I couldn't be more thankful to Nickelodeon for their recognition."
Organizers of this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards have already released the preliminary list of performers that will grace the stage during the ceremony.
These include, Willow Smith, Black Eyed Peas, Victoria Justice and Britney Spears. Coming to the event as presenters will be Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Josh Duhamel, Jaden Smith, Sofia Vergara, Nick Cannon, Miranda Cosgrove, Cory Monteith, Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian.
