Justin Timberlake to Reunite With Former N Sync Band Mates at MTV Awards [Photos of N Sync and Video]
Good news for fans of N Sync and Justin Timberlake. The "Sexy Back" singer is joining hands with his old N Sync band mates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass, and JC Chasez for an upcoming performance at the MTV Music Awards happening Sunday, reports New York Post.
Timberlake is also set to receive the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the ceremony and it's good that the singer is getting back to performing from where he started. However, it is not sure that Timberlake, who has a successful movie career in addition to his solo singing career, will extend the brief re-union any further as he has his hands full.
Timberlake, who is also working on his new album "The 20/20 Experience" - part 2, is also currently busy with an arena tour supporting the "The 20/20 Experience." He has six nominations following the success of his latest album.
While Lady Gaga is expected to open the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 on Sunday with "Applause," the show will be star-packed with Robin Thicke, Miley Cyrus, Beyonce and many other pop stars. Pop queen Katy Perry will close the MTV Video Music Awards with a live performance of huge hit "Roar."
The show airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT Aug. 25 from Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
'N Sync was a popular American band in the 90s and sold two hugely successful albums "No Strings Attached" and "NSYNC" apart from their last album "Celebrity." The group started to dismantle in spring 2002 with Justin Timberlake focusing on his career as a solo singer and released his solo studio albums "Justified" and "FutureSex/LoveSounds," which saw good commercial success.
The singer also focused on his acting career and acted in films like "The Social Network," "Bad Teacher," "In Time" and "Friends with Benefits."
Nineties saw the rise of many boy bands like Backstreet Boys, Boyzone and N sync was also one of them. The band has not recorded new material since almost a decade but many of their fans still want to see them re-united as N Sync. So what do you hope to hear from N Sync at this Sunday's Video Music Awards?
