In an interview with Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1, the rapper says that days of rock n roll are over and rapping will replace all.
"Rap is the new rock 'n' roll. We the new rock stars, and I'm the biggest of all of them. I'm the No. 1 rock star on the planet."
However the new father to baby North West was quick to realise that though he has so many aspirations, none has come true and it makes him frustrated. In comparison to Jay-Z the rapper says that most of Jay-Z's dreams have come true but not his.

"Jay-Z is more realized than me. More of his dreams and aspirations have come true. You don't realize I am so frustrated. Like, I've got so much I want to give. ... And I've got a million people telling me why I can't do it, that I'm not a real designer," said West.
The rapper is a big fan of late pop star Michael Jackson and said that he would not be the Kanye West he is today if there was no Michael Jackson but says he is now beyond the King of Pop and "broken the glass ceiling" of creativity. So he has even surpassed Michael Jackson.

"I would not be Kanye West if it wasn't for Michael Jackson. I was able to ascend to massive heights. And I've got to a point that Michael Jackson did not break down. I have reached the glass ceiling, as a creative person, as a celebrity and I've been at it for 10 years," revealed West.
Kanye then revealed that he does not crave for perfectness because he knows he can create a perfect sound but he is more into breaking new grounds in the field of music both sonically and culturally.
"I showed people that I understand how to make perfect. You know, (My Twisted) Dark Fantasy could be considered to be perfect. I know how to make perfect, but that's not what I'm here to do. I'm here to crack the pavement and make new grounds sonically...and culturally," said the rapper.
