Speculations of Kanye West being too controlling of Kim Kardashian are corroborated by the rapper's own stepbrother. Hal Carmichael, however, said that Kanye is being too controlling for good reason: to avoid Kim from being kidnapped!

In a rare interview, Hal Carmichael claimed that his stepbrother Kanye West is living in a constant fear that one day, his wife Kim Kardashian and daughter North West would be kidnapped. This is why Kanye is constantly monitoring the reality star's activities and whereabouts, leading to speculations and reports that he is a controlling husband.

"Kanye constantly worries about Kim and North as he knows the kidnap risk is high," Hal said. "Because of the lifestyle they lead, he has to think about it carefully nowadays," he added.

Hal said that Kanye controls Kim by monitoring where she travels and what she does to protect her. He added that Kanye fears that the more they are seen in the public and how they live their lives is displayed on the public, the higher the risk their family is of having someone unscrupulous harm them. Interestingly, Kanye's stepbrother also asserted that Kim is fine with the arrangement because Kanye had given her a boon in exchange. In exchange for his controlling ways, Kim can continue working on her family's reality show, "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."

When it comes to North, security is reportedly tighter. No one is allowed to be near their baby or take care of her but her mommy, her grandma Kris Jenner, and aunties Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie. This is in spite of the fact that North has a nanny. Despite having a nanny, Kanye only wants to keep North "around family" so that she is protected and secure.

Kanye's steprbother also commented on how Kanye rarely smiles in public. Hal clarified that the rapper can be a real joke with people he's comfortable with and that he makes Kim laugh all the time. He also described Kanye as an overthinker who is forever "planning in his head."

Recently, Kanye West has also been reported by OK Magazine to be begging her wife to move with him and North to Paris or New York. Kanye reportedly wants his family to be far away from the chaotic lives of the Kardashians and the media as well. Kanye's rep has yet to officially comment on the report.
