Does Kanye West have a new album in the making?

Rapper Kanye West ignited a frenzy of rumors on the internet when he released a very vague, but intriguing tweet. "GOOD MUSIC.THE ALBUM.SPRING2012," tweeted West. This comes after a month of absence from the star on the social networking site.

West has yet to elaborate on the tweet, leaving internet users to speculate the meaning of the message. Good Music is the name of a record label founded by Kanye, and it produces stars such as Kid Cudi, Common and Big Sean. The most common suggestion online is that Kanye was announcing a forthcoming compilation album that would feature all of his signed acts, and perhaps even some collaborations with West himself.

West is a big fan of collaborations, regularly incorporating other acts in his songs, and of course just recently released his collaboration with Jay-Z. Fans may be keen to hear a solo output from the star though, who's last solo album came out in 2010.

What is likely is that there will be more clues to follow before Spring 2012, watch this space.
