Kat Dennings and Josh Groban amicably split after two years of dating
Kat Dennings may be full of laughs in “2 Broke Girls,” but there is nothing funny about her recent split with musician Josh Groban. After two years of dating, the actress and musician have reportedly decided to take separate paths.
According to E! News, a person close to the ex-couple has confirmed that Dennings and Groban are still friends, despite the break up. Reportedly, the two split amicably. The source added, “It’s not the right time for them now as a couple.”
While this is no indication that the two will ever get back together again, it is implicated that there is that possibility. After all, the two have spoken very highly of each other before.
Groban, 35, once called Dennings “brilliant” and “funny” in an appearance on "The Ellen Degeneres Show." Which was perfect at the time, as he went on to say that humour is very important to him. He also admitted to loving how they had the same nerdy interests.
Meanwhile, Us Magazine notes that Dennings, 30, thought Groban was “very witty” and loved his Twitter comebacks. In fact, she confessed that they had Twitter exchanges during the start of their relationship.
The two first stepped out together publicly at the Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills in October 2014. They were introduced to each other by Dennings’ “2 Broke Girls” co-star Beth Behrs. On the set-up, Dennings once said that “[Behrs] thought we were both, you know, nerds. So there, she was right.”
Unfortunately, the relationship has allegedly come to an end. There is no confirmation of the report from either party.
Dennings previously had a relationship with “What I Like About You” star Nick Zano from 2011 to 2014. She was also quickly linked to Ryan Gosling, who starred in “Crazy, Stupid Love.” On the other hand, Groban dated “Mad Men” veteran January Jones from 2003 to 2006.
