Kat Graham: 'Vampire Diaries' Actress Talks About Working With Director Ian Somerhalder In Episode 16

TVD cast member Kat Graham recently shared in an interview about her work experience with co-star and director Ian Somerhalder in an upcoming episode of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6. Aside from portraying vampire character Damon Salvatore in the CW TV series, actor Ian Somerhalder was given the task to direct “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6, episode 16 titled “The Downward Spiral.”

In an exclusive Life & Style interview, actress Kat Graham admitted that she had a blast working with Ian Somerhalder as a director in the CW TV series. “It was so fun! We work in a very similar way because we have the same acting coach,” the 25-year-old actress shared.

Kat Graham further shared that being already in tune with each other before going to the set made Ian Somerhalder know her so well and tell her to do better while working on a scene. “He was pushing me a lot on set to be better. He just pulled a lot of stuff out of me that a lot of directors who don’t know me as well can’t. It was really exciting to work for him. He was a natural,” Graham stated about working with director Ian Somerhalder.

In “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6, Kat Graham’s character, Bonnie Bennett, is still stuck in the 1994 prison world. The next episode of the CW TV series will have the character in Nova Scotia to retrieve some magic so she can work on a spell that can bring her back home to her friends in Mystic Falls.

Meanwhile, a Hypable report suggests that the Bennett witch must have a bigger part in the next season of “The Vampire Diaries” where she will more than just help her friends like Elena (Nina Dobrev), Caroline (Candice Accola), Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder). Another suggestion is to bring the TVD character to the spinoff series “The Originals” where witches have a huge role.

Watch actress Kat Graham as Bonnie Bennett in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 which airs on Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW Network. The supernatural drama series is scheduled to return with episode 14 titled “Stay” on Feb. 12 focusing on Jeremy Gilbert’s (Steven R. McQueen) exit.
