Kate Middleton Asks Ellie Goulding To Sing On Prince Harry's Birthday, Harry's Friends Plan 'Surprise' Party For Him - Reports
Prince Harry might have cancelled his birthday celebrations owing to Duchess Kate Middleton's pregnancy illness but that does not stop his friends from throwing him a "surprise" birthday bash. The friends of the newly-turned 30-year-old Prince are planning to throw him a birthday bash in London that will have a "surprise element" to it, new reports are suggesting.
It is not sure what kind of surprise is expected from the party but People's magazine is reporting that neither Princess Kate nor her sister Pippa are organizing the party. Various media reports earlier suggested that Kate and Pippa planned a huge party for Harry but the Prince himself cancelled it owing to Kate's severe morning sickness because of her second pregnancy.
However, Kate Middleton made sure that she compensates Harry for his gesture of cancellation and reportedly requested his favourite singer Ellie Goulding to perform for him on his birthday, revealed The Sun.
"Kate knows Harry is a big fan of Ellie and wanted her to be part of the evening. It's a huge compliment for her, especially because she is such a fan of Harry and all the work he does," a source close to Kate revealed to The Sun.
"Ellie said yes straight away and has agreed to perform whatever Harry fancies on the night. It's going to be a really intimate acoustic set. Harry will love it," added the source.
However, there has been no official announcement about Ellie Gouding's performance. The "Burn" singer has previously been invited to perform for the Royals at the Buckingham Palace when Kate and Prince William got married in 2011. The blonde-haired singer entertained the newly weds with her version of Elton John's "Your Song."
Goulding also famously posed with Prince Harry at the closing ceremony of Prince Harry's Invictus Games. The two are seen smiling in one picture and a scantily clad Goulding can be seen hugging the Prince in another picture. See here.
As a birthday present, Prince Harry is inheriting a whopping $16,264,500 from Princess Diana's estate trust as he turned 30-years-old on Monday. The Prince currently earns $75260 a year as a captain in the army.
