Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge has developed a fondness for Prince Harry's current squeeze Cressida Bonas according to well-placed sources, dispelling rumours that the Duchess did not like the 24-year-old.

A source says Bonas has already been accepted by the royals and is rumoured to be making formal appearances with the prince soon.

Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have been dating for 18 months. The couple is rumoured to tie the knot in 2014 but Cressida not attending Prince George's christening posed a number of questions to observers.

According to IBTimes UK, Bonas did not go to the intimate family affair because the royals did not want the attention diverted from Prince George's christening.

Before the future King's baptism, reports emerged that the prince is not really serious about the 24-year-old model.

Sources say that Prince Harry approached his brother Prince William before Prince George's christening telling him about his feelings for Cressida Bonas.

After the baptism, the engagement rumours died down but it was later fueled by Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas spending the weekend with a couple of friends at Sandringham leading fans of the royals to believe that Bonas may have already cemented her place in the firm.

A source also said, "Wills and Kate have grown very fond" of Bonas and that "the time was right to move things forward in terms of protocol."

Kate Middleton was rumoured to not like Cressida Bonas because of Cressy's half-sister Isabella Calthorpe. Reports revealed that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge prefers Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Chelsy Davy over Cressida Bonas.

The source adds that the royals "are more guarded than ever" but that the public will soon see Bonas and Prince Harry more often than before.

The Mirror reports that Prince Harry craves for a family of his own and that he wants children.

While it is rumoured that the relationship between Bonas and the prince is not yet that serious to the point of them getting married, royal observers believe that Cressida Bonas will soon become Kate Middleton's royal sister-in-law.

Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas's relationship blossomed after Harry's long-term relationship with former girlfriend Chelsy Davy.
