Kate Middleton Holds Impromptu Pizza Party In NYC Hotel Suite
Kate Middleton is craving for some very specific food during her second pregnancy. The Duchess could not curb her cravings, and decided to have an impromptu pizza party at her New York hotel.
It is reported that the Duchess of Cambridge, who is five months pregnant, ordered pizza in her royal suite at the Carlyle hotel on Dec. 9. The order was made as she was preparing for her evening venture to celebrate St. Andrew's 600th Anniversary at the Met Museum, as told by US Weekly.
It is a known fact that the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge have just finished their whirlwind visit in New York. The Royal couple have been accompanied by private secretaries, senior adviser Sir David Manning, a personal assistant and a hairdresser--just for the Duchess.
Apart from the five-month-pregnant Middleton, the cheesy delicacies were also enjoyed by her private secretary Rebecca Deacon and hairstylist Amanda Cook-Tucker. The two ladies were part of the team who accompanied the Royal couple during their recent trip.
Pizza and cheese are the common cravings of any pregnant woman. However, the Duchess did not order any regular pizza found in the menu. She specified three flavors to be ordered from Serafina. The order, which included a spicy sausage pizza with no mushroom and a prosciutto "di Fabio" pizza without sliced tomatoes, reflected that Middleton had been quite sure and specific as to what she wanted to eat at that time.
The Duchess' love for cheesy delicacies is known worldwide. A similar order was made from London's St. Mary's hospital on the day Prince George was born.
Despite the below zero temperature, New Yorkers have shown their love for the Royals by flocking in large numbers throughout the much awaited visit. Almost 200 people gathered outside the plush Manhattan hotel just to catch a glimpse of the much loved couple.
