The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is said to be looking for a nanny for Prince George. Prince William’s wife was allegedly adamant to be a hands-on mum just like her mother Carole Middleton, but has now admitted that she could need some help.

Kate is currently on maternity leave from her duties as the wife of the future king of England. She’s enjoying her new role as a mum to George, who was born on July 22 in London, but she knew that she would have to return to her royal duties in a few weeks.

She is due to attend a Tusk Trust fundraising with her husband on September 12, and then attend other societal events and obligations after.

“Kate and William have realised that they really do need help with George. They were both determined to do it themselves, but common sense has prevailed and they have actively started looking for help,” a source said to Grazia magazine, as reported by news.com.au.

“It is highly unlikely this will be an advertised position. Kate is going to rely on word-of-mouth. One of Kate’s best friends from Marlborough, Alice Alvenel, lives in Chelsea and has already been helping Kate. She is one of the Duchess’ most trusted confidantes; she also already has a little girl and is pregnant again.

“William and Kate want someone trustworthy and very well experienced. It’s unlikely they’ll hire a live-in nanny, though.”

William has admitted to CNN in his first ever interview after George’s birth that he doesn’t get up in the night to take care of his son as much as Kate does, adding his wife is doing a “fantastic” job.

“He [George] wriggles around quite a lot. And he doesn’t want to go to sleep that much, which is a little bit of a problem.”

The proud father also said that his son is a “little bit of a rascal.”

“He either reminds me of my brother or me when I was younger. I’m not sure, but he’s doing very well at the moment,” William said, referring to his brother Prince Harry.

Meanwhile, Kate has finally surfaced in public. She was photographed doing her own grocery at a local market on the island of Anglesey a month after George’s birth.

Wearing skinny jeans and stripes top, the 31-year-old Duchess has noticeably gotten her slim physique back. Her waistline, which previously sported a bump a day after she gave birth, is back to looking completely flat.
