Kate Middleton One Very Busy Duchess: From Olympics to Creativity Reception [PHOTOS]
Being the Duchess of Cambridge entails a lot of tasks but Kate Middleton does it all oh-so easily. The royal highness might not have been present at the grounds of the Olympic Stadium with tens of thousands of athletes but she was present all right.
With her iconic smile, Kate Middleton watched alongside the action commence along with the rest of the royal family. Even Prince Harry, known as the life of the after party in a few clubs over UK, was spotted at the opening ceremony of the Olympics. However, it was the Queen who was featured in the actual ceremony.
Surprisingly, Kate Middleton isn't just a pretty face at the Olympics. The Duchess of Cambridge proves to have physical prowess that even Prince William is quite proud of. In an interview with the female folks of "Female First", Prince William talks about Kate Middleton's sporting expertise.
"Watching me on the football field is never a pretty sight - the expression 'giraffe on ice' springs to mind... However, it is marginally less embarrassing than seeing my brother cheat his way to becoming the fastest man on the planet," explained Prince William, adding, "Catherine, on the other hand, with a tennis racquet or a hockey stick is something to behold and be aware of."
Apart from being present at the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Duchess of Cambridge has other tasks to fulfill of which include the arts. Kate Middleton is to attend a reception celebrating the culture, art, entertainment and creativity of the UK.
An event to be held at the Royal Academy of Arts in London set by the Government's GREAT campaign aims to showcase and promote the reputation of the company abroad. With the Olympic and Paralympic Games as the platform, the said event is said to showcase Britain's abilities.
In attendance will be Kate Middleton along with 800 other people of which include the representatives of leading companies in the UK. Also included in the 800 people are industry figureheads, organizations interested in investing in the UK and guests from overseas business.
With the Olympics already in the motion, this paired with UK culture and Kate Middleton is bound to attract a lot of attention not only in the UK but worldwide.
