Kate Middleton Pregnancy Sickness: Prince Harry Cancels His 30th Birthday Party, Opts For Simple Gathering
As a sign of respect to Kate Middleton who is recuperating from pregnancy sickness, Prince Harry has decided to cancel his 30th birthday celebration.
Prince Harry turns 30 on Monday, Sept. 15. While preparations were said to have been prepared for his birthday celebration, the 29-year old decided to cancel the festivities in light of Kate Middleton's present condition.
Mirror U.K. reports he has has informed some friends last week about his decision. Ever the thoughtful prince, Harry decided that it was inappropriate to continue with the celebration considering Kate Middleton's pregnancy situation. Prince Harry decided to have a mini banquet instead of the grand festivity that was reported to be originally planned for his 30th birthday. A few close friends were invited to Kate Middleton and Prince William's newly renovated apartment in Kensington Palace for the simple gathering.
A source claimed on Sept. 12 that Prince Harry had no qualms in pushing the celebration for another date.
"Harry was in no doubt that the party should be postponed, even though 30 is an important milestone," the source said.
Prince William's younger brother owed it to Kate Middleton to cancel the celebration according to the source. After all, the Duchess of Cambridge was said to have been really hands-on with the planning.
"Once she fell ill he felt it wrong to let the event go ahead," the source added according to Mirror.
However, his decision was said to have disappointed some already invited guests. Rumoured new girlfriend Camilla Thurlow is among them. Prince Harry's closest friend Guy Pelly and cousins Beatrice, Eugenie and Zara were reported to have also felt dismayed at the cancelled celebration.
To make up for the missed event, Prince Harry has promised his friends that he will plan his post-30th birthday celebration himself. But the party will happen only "when the time is right."
On Sept. 8, Clarence House confirmed Kate Middleton's second pregnancy through Twitter.

Along with the official announcement, the palace also informed the public of the Duchess' health condition. According to a previous report from the International Business Times, Kate Middleton is said to be suffering again from hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe morning sickness characterised by extreme nausea and vomiting. The same illness she had when she was carrying Prince George. As for Prince Harry's 30th birthday celebration, his decision garnered different reactions from Twitter users.

@britishroyals Well, that was good of him. They'll reschedule it and have more fun when everyone can be there. Now he'll have two parties!
