The last time that Kate Middleton was seen out in the public was reportedly during the poppy installation at the London Tower last August 5. Since then, the Duchess of Cambridge has been pulling out on royal engagements and missing out on her royal duties, especially following the announcement of her second pregnancy last September 8. The palace has confirmed that she had been suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, a pregnancy sickness characterised by extreme vomiting. However, few reports contest her sickness isn't the reason why she has been out of the public eye. Kate Middleton supposedly doesn't want to be seen looking fuller while in her early weeks of pregnancy.

According to Inquisitr writer Gregory Wakeman, the Duchess of Cambridge declines to be out in the public because she doesn't want to "show off her burgeoning baby bump and bloated features to the world as she continues to grow." Additionally, a source told Daily Mail that Kate Middleton is reportedly feeling so useless that she has retreated to her hometown in Bucklebury, Berkshire to be with her parents. She has also taken Prince George with her as she recuperates from her pregnancy sickness.

Kate Middleton's calendar was said to already be filled with royal engagements for October and November. A royal aide had previously confirmed to the Mail that the Duchess was well enough already to resume with her royal duties. However, she had pulled out on two of her royal engagements this month. Last October 1, the 32-year-old was supposedly scheduled for a charity visit to London's Art Room where she is a patron. Instead, in a personally-penned message, she expressed her apologies for not showing up to the disappointed staff and expectant children at the Clore Art Room. She was said to have been "hugely disappointed" at having to pull out of the visit according to Daily Mail. Additionally, the Duchess of Cambridge also "called off" her visit to Old Portsmouth to meet with Olympic sailor Sir Ben Ainslie because of her pregnancy sickness. UK Express claimed Kate Middleton was scheduled to visit his new headquarters for his America's Cup team in the Camber Dock last Monday, October 13.
