Currently suffering from extreme morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum), Kate Middleton has been cancelling her public appearances to take extra precautions for her second pregnancy. But according to the latest news, Prince William is hoping to bring her on his official royal engagement to NYC within the next two months.
Although there is no confirmation if the Duchess of Cambridge is going to tag along with the Duke, many fans of the royals are keeping their fingers crossed to catch a glimpse of her pregnancy glow. After a lot of buzz about her first solo trip in Malta, Kate was forced to cancel her trip last month but according to royal sources they are keeping an "open mind" about her condition with hopes that she can get back to her royal duties when she gets better.
Buckingham Palace is yet to comment about the upcoming royal visit to the Big Apple since Kate is not included in the original plan. But if things will go well for Catherine and her condition will improve, the trip will be the couple's second official visit to the U.S. following their visit in California in July 2011, a few months after their wedding.
The Duchess' last official engagement was with Prince William and Prince Harry when they opened a poppy installations on Aug. 5 at the Tower of London. But based on the report of the Mail on Sunday, Prince George's mother have some scheduled engagements in October and November that is yet to be announced.
Currently staying with her parents in Bucklebury, the 32-year-old royal is "not at all well," according to a family friend. After her pregnancy announcement, Catherine hasn't been seen in public and based on palace officials doctors has been assessing her condition on a "day by day basis."
"When you're ill, the place you feel most comfortable is at home with your mum, isn't it?" a source tells PEOPLE. "When she's there, Kate can just relax and sit on the sofa and not have to worry about having to deal with all the staff and everything else that comes with a big palace full of rooms."
